Kerry Leichtman
Certified Maine Assessor #772
Kerry has been a Certified Maine Assessor since 2007, Camden’s assessor since 2014 and Rockport’s assessor since 2010.
Kerry actively works on assessing issues in the Legislature, is a member of Maine Municipal Association’s Legislative Policy Committee, and has served on numerous Legislative task forces.
He is panelist on the State Board of Property Tax Review and has served as vice president and president of the Maine Chapter IAAO and as a state representative to the IAAO.
He was honored by the Northeast Regional Association of Assessing Officers in 2015 with the Sherry Vermilya Award, and as Assessor of the Year in 2023 by the Maine Association of Assessing Officers.
He says his best accomplishment was hiring Caitlin Thompson in 2015.
Caitlin Thompson

Caitlin started working in Camden in 2015 as the Assessing Clerk and is now Deputy Assessor and GIS Coordinator.
Caitlin graduated from Susquehanna University in 2011 with a BA in Communications and Journalism. She previously worked in a town office in southern Maine, where she attained her CMA.
Over the years Caitlin has taken almost every educational opportunity available and developed a strong interest in GIS. Currently she is in her third semester with the University of Maine, working on attaining a GIS certificate.
